The brief was for a Doric culture centre in Aden country park, an intervention with the existing ruins of the old country house.
The concept was introducing an even older form of building to the site. turning the form of the broch into a sequence of 3.
The first as the footprint as the current condition. turned into an outdoor theatre for the local youth performance group.
The second as the administration and exhibition building for the culture centre, housing the space for recording and appreciating displays of Doric life.
The third is the full reimagining of a broch, turned theatre in the round. The full use of this space is for any performance, play, musician and orators. As a meeting space for the community and those wishing to experience it first hand.
